Christmas was a lot of fun this year. The kids are getting to the age where it's so magical to them and they can hardly wait for the 25th to arrive. We had an advent calendar this year that has different doors to open for each day with something inside. Some doors had candy or a treat, some doors had a note with an activity on it like sledding or putting up Christmas lights, and some doors had the kids go to a place in the house to look for a special something. These included coloring books and crayons, Christmas "peeps", Orange sticks... anything that was too big to fit in a door. But, every day they couldn't wait to open the door for the day. Right after they opened it they would always say "Can we open tomorrow's too?!" They are so funny. The kids also got some very special letters in the mail from Santa and also some reindeer food to sprinkle on the lawn to help guide the reindeer and Santa's sleight to our house. Luckily he found us and ate all the cookies the kids had made for him. Chad and Vandi and their cute little girlies came over and made cookies with us just 2 days before Christmas. It was so much fun. We also went to Grandma Burgess's house and had a yummy Christmas meal with the cousins. Later that night Santa surprised us at Grandma's house! Olly was a scared of Santa and covered his eyes. But, the other kids were delighted! He brought each of the kids a great gift. We had a great December and a great Christmas! We were so blessed this year and are so thankful for everything the Lord has done for us in our lives. Merry Christmas to you all!

Baby Jayda ran and hid in the corner when Santa visited our Family’s Christmas Party. But my mom held her and then she was okay, and she took a present from him too. It’s so funny how kids react to that. Right before he left though, Keira got the idea that it was my dad dressed up, and she looked at him and said, “Grandpa, are you Santa Claus!!!” It was priceless! You really can’t slip anything past that kid. I really like the picture of Olly in the snow. It’s so cute. Did you guys take him up to the ski hill to go sledding? I bet he’d like that if you or Dusty were in the sled with him the first couple of times.
I have not looked at your blog forever! You are such a fun mom. We did the advent calendar too and the kids loved it. Happy New year girl!
